Revelation 2:4-5 (KJV) (4) Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. (5) Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.
Jesus is speaking to a church in this Scripture. Remember, a church is not a building, it is the people within the building. Jesus says He has something against them, for they have left their first love. This means they stopped following Jesus and the cross. They had actually turned their backs on God and stopped serving Him, while still attending church. He tells them they need to repent and do their first works over. Remember this, and never take your faith off of Jesus and Him crucified.
